Senior Architect - Data Integration&Rule Engines (Hybrid), Neder-Over-Heembeek

Our client, a leading organization in the public sector, is looking for a Solution&Development Architect to lead the technical direction of proactive digital services. The role focuses on designing scalable applications while bridging technical requirements with business objectives to ensure a reliable digital transformation.

Direct the architectural roadmap and ensure technical consistency across the portfolio of digital applications. Make final design decisions regarding scalability and maintainability while incorporating team feedback. Translate complex technical concepts into clear specifications for the business and product owners.Design platform extensions and oversee the complete lifecycle of system implementations. Document architectural decisions and define clear technical guidelines and work packages for developers. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align with organizational data platform standards and frameworks.Advise on the integration of rule engines and automated logic to enhance proactive service delivery.

You have 8+ years of experience as a specialist architect in domains such as infrastructure, applications, security, or enterprise architecture. You bring 8+ years of expertise in backend development using

Java

and

Spring . You possess 5+ years of experience with

API

design and integration using

REST

or

SOAP . You have proven experience with modeling techniques and tools such as

Archimate ,

TOGAF ,

UML , and

Sparx EA . You're proactive, delivery-oriented, and able to communicate complex choices to non-technical stakeholders. You are fluent in

Dutch

with a

C2

level.

Nice to Haves

Experience with messaging systems like

RabbitMQ

or

Kafka

and simulation tools such as

WireMock . Knowledge of

Linked Data

standards including

RDF

and

JSON-LD . 3+ years of experience with

Test Driven Development (TDD)

and

Agile Project Management . Familiarity with

IBM ODM

or similar rule engine technologies and

SQL

for data processing. Broad understanding of business processes, project management facets, and systems thinking.
