Spott is a YC-backed AI startup with its office in Leuven, Belgium. We are on a mission to transform the recruitment industry. Together, we’re building the first AI-native recruitment platform (ATS&CRM) that empowers professional recruiters to close more placements and help everyone find the right job more easily.

What We’re Looking For We are product-obsessed. Everything we create needs to be better than any existing version of it on the market - and you will play a pivotal role in ensuring that standard is upheld.

You have a Master’s degree in IT/Computer Science/Software Engineering and preferably at least 4 years of experience in backend development

Passion for solving complex technical challenges and designing scalable software solutions. You understand technical tradeoffs and make pragmatic decisions.

Experience mentoring engineers, raising the technical bar across a team, and influencing architecture decisions beyond your own scope.

Experience building AI-driven applications (e.g. prompt engineering and/or fine-tuning experience are a plus).

What You’ll Do

You’ll be focused on back-end development of our recruitment platform, working mainly with Typescript and Node.js.

You’ll work on core product features and Backend code improvements, ensuring all systems can support the growth of our customer base.

You’ll set the technical direction for major parts of the backend, leading design discussions and reviewing code to keep quality high as the team scales.
