R&D Team Lead, Leuven

Guardsquare is looking for Team Leads to join us in our Leuven office and lead one of our Leuven based iXGuard (C++/LLVM) or DexGuard (Java) teams. In this role you will be responsible for a team of about 5 to 7 software engineers working within an agile software development environment. The ideal candidate started their career technically and has a good understanding of software engineering within a high-tech start/scale-up, and grew into or is now ready for a team lead role.Responsibilities

Own the results delivered by your team. You lead day-to-day development; assign tasks, track progress, ensure timely delivery and high quality. Mentor engineers, foster collaboration, and motivate the team to reach company and personal objectives. Set coding standards and best practices for maintainable solutions.Work with product teams to translate business needs into technical specifications. Implement and enforce testing practices to deliver reliable software. Encourage new ideas and own engineering processes to drive continuous improvement. Represent Guardsquare’s R&D values, its products and its culture. Requirements

Masters in computer science with 5+ years of experience, of which at least 3 as a Team Lead Proven track record of achieving results with teams Experience setting performance goals and performing appraisals Previous experience with low level programming is an asset Deep knowledge of Java or C++ is also a nice plusA no-nonsense and pragmatic attitude, continuously raising the bar Understanding the value of in-person leadership in a hybrid work environment What Guardsquare offers you
