They provide exceptional legal services to clients across a variety of sectors, including large multinational corporations, financial institutions, and public organizations. Their tax team is highly regarded for its in‑depth expertise in both transactional tax and tax litigation, delivering innovative solutions for complex legal issues.

Role Overview They have asked us to assist them to recruit a Mid level Associate to join their dynamic and growing Tax Law Practice in Ghent. This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated legal professional with a passion for tax law and a desire to work on cutting‑edge matters in both transactional and tax litigation fields.

Key Responsibilities

Provide legal advice and support on complex transactional tax matters, including corporate taxation, tax structuring, tax reorganizations, mergers and acquisitions (M&A), and occupational taxes.

Assist with the preparation of tax due diligence reports, transactional documents, and tax‑related agreements.

Support clients in designing tax‑efficient structures for business operations and transactions.

Engage in substantive legal research and analysis related to tax law and its application.

Work on tax litigation matters, including providing support in disputes and representing clients in administrative proceedings or courts. (Tax litigation involvement may increase depending on candidate's interest and expertise).

Collaborate closely with senior associates and partners to ensure high‑quality service delivery and client satisfaction.

Key Requirements

3–5 years of post‑qualification experience in tax law (ideally in a top‑tier law firm or reputable in‑house position).

Strong expertise in corporate taxation, tax structuring, M&A transactions, tax reorganizations, and occupational taxes.

Practical experience in supporting clients in tax litigation is a plus but not a requirement.

Excellent understanding of Romanian tax law, as well as international tax principles.

Strong research, analytical, and drafting skills.

Fluency in Dutch and English, both written and spoken; knowledge of additional languages is a plus.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
