Studio Globo is an educational NGO that works on solidarity-based global citizenship in education. They support teachers in bringing themes such as poverty, climate injustice, migration, or inequality into the classroom in a nuanced, hopeful way. So that students not only understand the world better but also learn that they themselves can make a difference.Your responsibilities

1. You are the face of Studio Globo to the outside world.

You position the organization within its network and build sustainable relationships with governments, partner organizations, schools, teacher training institutions, and fellow NGOs. You represent Studio Globo at the national level and on external consultation platforms within the education and development cooperation sectors.You position the organization as a relevant dialogue partner in the Flemish education debate. You invest in (new) partnerships that are strategic for Studio Globo. You defend Studio Globo and the added value of our work in the media, the press, and with all potential partners. 2. You provide strategic leadership to the organization

You establish the connection with the governing body, work closely with the chairperson, and translate Studio Globe's mission and vision into strategic choices and well-considered actions. You watch over Studio Globo's long-term future: you develop vision, reflect on the future of the organization, and drive strategic change processes.In tandem with the Operations Director, you assume substantive and day-to-day leadership, jointly manage the organization, monitor cohesion between the various departments and teams, and help set the course. 3. You are ultimately responsible for the business and support processes.

You are ultimately responsible for financial policy: in collaboration with a staff member, you further develop the financing policy and seek and secure (new) financing. You have ultimate responsibility for personnel: in collaboration with a staff member, you develop the employee policy and actively monitor it.You supervise the business processes specific to an NGO: planning, organization, security and communication, data management, ICT policy, investments and procurement, legal affairs ... 4. You assume ultimate responsibility for the program, grants, and quality.

You are ultimately responsible for the program lines (including the DGD file) and for grant, application, and accountability files. You oversee the high-quality execution of the various processes within the organization and initiate processes of quality assurance and quality development. In collaboration with the structural partners, you will take on the coordination of the Sub-service.You have an eye for correct, timely, and appropriate communication regarding the progress and results of projects, both internally and externally. Your profile

In addition, for the position of General Director, we require: More important than your educational level are your competencies, at least at VKS level 7.You had already been successfully working as a manager for about five years. You possess the strategic insight to further develop the mission and vision, translate them into actions, and implement them thoughtfully. Naturally, you do this based on Studio Globo's mission and vision. You are skilled at networking and diplomatic, and strong in building relationships and representing interests.You have a positive attitude towards the educational goal of the organization. You have an affinity with educational processes and want to thoroughly familiarize yourself with the field of education. You are fascinated by international cooperation and committed to global solidarity. You are a connector and apply situational leadership: you work in a people-oriented way, coach your team, engage in stimulating consultation, and ensure participatory decision-making. Yet, you are also capable of directing and making decisive choices.You are reliable and consistent: a leader people can count on. You are results-oriented: even under difficult circumstances and in the face of setbacks, you remain driven to achieve the objectives. You competently handle the management of a complex program, with care for priorities, people, and resources.You possess strategic financial insight and have knowledge of NGO operations, HR management, and finance. Quality assurance and quality development are a matter of course for you. You can skillfully manage these processes. You learn quickly about new themes and issues, both educational and business-related. You reflect on the functioning and future of the organization and develop a vision regarding this.Transparent, supportive, and loyal cooperation with the governing body is a matter of course for you. We can count on your professionalism in your relationships with employees, volunteers, partner organizations, government bodies, customers, and suppliers ... You reflect on your approach and are open to coaching.You hold a B driving license and are willing to travel within Flanders and Brussels. You use Dutch proficiently (level C). You also use French and English fluently (level B). Additional information

We offer you a

full-time employment under a permanent contract

with

salary in scale K3 of the socio-cultural sector (PC 329.1)

and transfer of relevant seniority. The intended start date is

September 1 2026

. Your workplace is Huidevettersstraat 165, 1000 Brussels (within walking distance of Brussels South train station). The organization has arrangements regarding working from home and teleworking. We reimburse up to 100% of your public transport commute. You receive an expense allowance for business travel (public transport, car, or bicycle).For business trips that are not possible by public transport, Studio Globo makes a Cambio and Blue-bike subscription available. There is an ICT allowance included in your salary package; you are provided with a laptop and mobile phone.
