Pre-Sales Engineer– Belgium
We are seeking a Sales Engineer to strengthen our Enterprise and Public sector Sales teams by providing technical expertise, building product solutions, and ensuring a smooth customer acquisition journey.
Responsibilities
Master our platform and support the Sales team by providing insights, expertise, and the appropriate tools.
Listen to and understand prospect needs, working internally on how Alan can address them.
Build a thorough understanding of each prospect and assess functional alignment with our offering.
Participate in RFP submissions and collaborate with Sales, Insurance, and Product experts to craft responses.
Join the customer acquisition journey to evangelize our services and products.
Act as the voice of the customer, feeding platform roadmap improvements.
Prepare handover for delightful customer onboarding.
Coordinate the most complex customer onboardings.
Collaborate with peers in France to share best practices and build a global playbook.
Qualifications
At least 4+ years of experience working in a SaaS environment.
Fluent written and verbal communication in English.
Fluent written and verbal communication in Dutch or French.
Based in Belgium.
Experience with end-to-end procurement projects (buyer or supplier side) involving RFIs, RFQs, and RFPs.
Skilled in pitching a product with transparency and without overselling its capabilities.
Excellent at active listening, requirement elicitation, and identifying the root cause of customer concerns.
Assertive with the ability to handle objections in a complex environment.
Proficient at breaking down complex issues to identify product gaps and define solutions.
Strong stakeholder management skills at high level.
Excellent prioritization skills and the ability to meet commitments.
Team player who is eager to learn and grow.
Preferred (but not required)
Fluency in both Dutch and French.
Experience in insurance or health platforms.
Experience in HRIS or payroll solutions.
